The Individual Shareholders Observatory
The aim of the Individual Shareholders Observatory is to revitalise the relationship between the citizens and listed companies by sharing with as many people as possible the benefits of sustainable and responsible investment in shares.
The Individual Shareholders Observatory works to promote individual and employee shareholding in order to redirect citizens’ savings towards the national production system, in a long-term approach, and to maintain decision-making centres in France.
The Observatory wants to overcome the representation of the stock market as a place for speculation and respond to the desire of citizens to participate in the development of companies of all sizes in various forms (entrepreneurship, economy, collaborative, crowdfunding, etc.).
For the Individual Shareholders Observatory, the conditions are therefore in place for the emergence of a responsible and ethical capitalism through the revival of individual and employee shareholding. This is the impetus given by the European Commission which, through several initiatives, has sought to encourage long-term shareholder commitment.
